Precast Concrete Trench

Precast concrete trench over hilly site

Requirement:  Vandenburg, AFB needed several runs of precast concrete trench in a drive over rated design. The challenge was the site had significant topography. Field cutting standard 10 ft precast concrete trench sections to fit would involve quite a bit of cost and time. Field pouring a trench would also have been a challenge due to the degree of slope.

Solution:  Trenwa provided custom vertically and horizontally mitered precast concrete trench base sections and lids to fit their topographical map. Multi-Duty TIER 8 rated precast concrete trench was utilized and included weld plates to tie the bases together to prevent movement. This solution saved the contractor significant time and money and allowed them to complete the project on time.
